Colin Gosselin criticized his mother Kate Gosselin on social media, hours after she teased the upcoming release of a bombshell memoir that will expose cheating allegations in her famous family.
“I didn’t plan this at all, but it just so happened that the day my book was officially released was Colleen’s birthday,” Colleen wrote alongside a snapshot of him and Colleen Conrad. Her father, Jon Gosselin, dated Stephanie Lebo from 2014 to 2021 before marrying her in November.
“She is the strongest woman I know. She stepped into the most difficult time of my life and chose to be my mom,” Corinne, 22, exclaimed in the caption.
“Happy Birthday to my amazing, hard-working, passionate, and always going on real mom ❤️ I love you so much.”
In the comments thread, the former reality TV star wrote, “The love you feel for the mother you were given is incredible. But the love you feel for the mother who chose you is so much more powerful. I’m so lucky ❤️ @colleen.conrad122 I love you so much 🫶🏼.”
Conrad responded in part, “I’m always here for you, and you’re my son. I love you!”
A representative for Kate, 51, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Wednesday.
The post came hours after the “John & Kate Plus 8” alum teased the release of her upcoming memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight,” scheduled for release in October.
“This is not a story for entertainment. It is a story to instill in everyone a responsibility to defend and oppose abuse, injustice, and child exploitation,” he captioned a montage of childhood photos.
“I poured my heart into this book, not just for my younger self, but for everyone who faced unjust and blatantly heinous acts as children. I am your voice. I stand with you. CG.”
The book’s publisher released the synopsis on Wednesday, promising that the memoir will share “the never-before-told story of how[Colin]escaped and found his way back from the darkness.”
The publisher also described the book as “an examination of the dark side of fame: the systems, cronies, and institutions that allowed one boy to be erased.”
The book’s cover features an old photo of Kate with her hand over Colin’s mouth.
Kate and ex-husband John, 49, have sextuplets Arden, 22, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah, and twins Carla and Madeline, 25.
The famous family rose to fame on the TLC reality show that morphed into “Kate Plus 8” after the former couple’s 2009 divorce.
John was eventually granted sole custody of Colin, and Hannah ended up living with him.
For years, Colin has accused Kate of “child abuse and child exploitation,” including an incident in which she was allegedly zip-tied and locked in a basement before being institutionalized in 2016, but Kate has consistently denied the allegations and defended her decision to place her in a behavioral health facility.
Madeline publicly supported her mother and accused Colin of “physical violence”, which John and Colin denied.
In a social media post in August 2025, Colin appeared to blame his mother for his estrangement from many of his siblings, and Kate cryptically responded to the drama in a social media comment: “He knows why…”
Amid the family feud, Page Six revealed in September that Kate was dating ex-bodyguard Steve Nield and the pair had “wedding plans”.
Kate denied having an affair with Nield in 2009, telling People during media coverage that “they will continue to have a relationship and will make up things to connect the dots.”
Following the revelation, Colin and John were quick to slam Kate on social media. “Everyone says my dad and I are obsessed with our mom, but we’re not,” Colin wrote on Instagram at the time.
“We were victims of a narcissist and we cried together.”
Collin told Us Weekly on Tuesday that he “shares what was really going on behind the scenes” in his memoir, and that the memoir is “about truth, survival, resilience, and finding your voice after years of being silenced.”
