Victoria Beckham is devastated after her teenage daughter Harper tried to meet her brother Brooklyn amid a continuing rift in the family.
“This situation has taken a toll on the entire family and Victoria is heartbroken for her children,” a source exclusively told Page Six.
“Victoria and David knew Harper was going to their Brooklyn home,” the source continued. “The children have had nannies and security guards ever since they were born and have traveled alone many times, so there was nothing unusual for her to go there (without her parents).”
As Page Six previously reported, 14-year-old Harper was photographed arriving at Brooklyn’s Los Angeles home (where he lives with wife Nicola Peltz) shortly after celebrating his father’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But sadly, Harper’s efforts were in vain, and sources say she left the premises upon arrival without meeting the Cloud 23 Hot Sauce founder. The source added that Brooklyn and his wife were unable to be reached.
The 27-year-old chef later shared via Instagram Stories that he was in New York when his sister showed up.
Still, a representative for the couple told Page Six: “The fact that there was a cameraman on the scene when the letter was handed out tells us everything. This was staged for the cameras.”
However, sources insisted there was nothing orchestrated despite speculation that Mr Harper’s visit was staged.
“David and Victoria would never intentionally come between their children or the people they love,” the source said. “You can see that in their relationship with their other son’s girlfriend.”
“That’s why this has been so incredibly painful and confusing for them. They honestly don’t know what went wrong or how they got into this relationship.”
The professional soccer player, 51, and Spice Girls alum, 52, have sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21. Romeo is dating model and DJ Kim Turnbull, while Cruise is dating Brazilian-German singer-songwriter Jackie Apostel.
A source said David and Victoria are “worried that they’ll never be able to fully return to what they once were in Brooklyn.”
“They love him unconditionally and hope for a reconciliation. No matter how difficult things get, he is their son and that will never change,” the source said. “But David and Victoria are scared because they feel like they’ve lost their son and there’s an insurmountable wall between them and Brooklyn.”
The setback comes a day after Brooklyn attacked parents with a DoorDash World Cup ad.
In the commercial, Brooklyn referenced her “complicated” relationship with her parents and siblings in a DoorDash ad she shared on her Instagram on Monday.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m at home watching the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” he says in the video, sitting on a couch wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. “It’s a long story,” he said with a laugh, tossing his World Cup tickets on the coffee table.
The ad went viral, but sources say the commercial itself struck a chord with the Beckhams in more ways than one.
“It’s unfortunate, but it’s beyond a commercial at this point,” the source said. “This is not about the ad itself. For David and Victoria, this is another example of their family’s private matters becoming public, and that’s upsetting.”
Brooklyn and Peltz, 31, tied the knot in a lavish April 2022 wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.
In a bombshell posted to Instagram in January, Brooklyn accused her parents of controlling her family’s public image and leaking stories about her and Peltz to the press.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote, adding, “My parents have controlled media coverage of our family throughout their lives.”
David and Victoria’s eldest son also claimed that he had been “endlessly trying to ruin” his relationship with Peltz even before their 2022 wedding. He claimed that Victoria canceled plans to make Peltz’s wedding dress at the last minute, and that before the wedding her family told her that Peltz was “not related to her” and “not part of her family.”
Brooklyn accused her parents of prioritizing “Brand Beckham” over family relationships, writing: “A family’s ‘love’ is determined by how much they post on social media.”
She also disputed speculation that Peltz was controlling her, saying, “I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
