It’s everyone’s worst nightmare: food poisoning. . . By plane!
1980s heartthrob Corey Feldman suffered a medical emergency on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles on Monday, where he was met by paramedics at the gate and rushed to the hospital.
After spending the night there and undergoing multiple tests to find out whether the upset tummy was pancreatitis or gallstones, his rep told him it was just a case of good old food poisoning.
It’s unclear if the “Goonies” star was the victim of the airport meal.
“Corey’s condition has improved considerably and he has now been released from the hospital,” a representative said.
A source close to Feldman told TMZ that the ’80s teen star felt unwell on the plane and sought medical attention from a doctor who happened to be on the flight.
“Corey would like to thank everyone for your love and well wishes,” his rep said. “He’s definitely seen a lot of messages and really appreciates everything.”
Feldman will release his new single “What Am I Here 4” on June 22nd and will celebrate his birthday with two shows in California over the weekend of July 25th.
Feldman was in Chicago with co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton to celebrate the anniversary of the 1986 classic “Stand by Me.”
Late Sunday night, Feldman shared photos and videos on Instagram of himself on the merry-go-round as he headed to Chicago for the event. He made a surprise visit to Michael Jackson’s childhood home in Gary, Indiana, to “pay his respects” to the late singer.
Jackson passed away at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009, from a heart attack caused by a drug overdose.
“We’re on our way to Chicago to tear it up,” Feldman, who competed on “Dancing with the Stars” last fall, said in a video on social media. “It’s going to be a great night. Lots of people are coming, thousands of people are coming.”
