Heidi Montag has broken her silence after her husband Spencer Pratt ran unsuccessfully for Los Angeles’ next mayor.
“I couldn’t love my husband more and be proud of him. What an inspiration and what a hero,” she tweeted on Sunday.
“God bless America,” the “Hills” alum said in a follow-up tweet.
“I’m so grateful to be born in America, this beautiful land of freedom. Thank you, God,” Montag, 39, added.
The former reality star’s comments come days after Pratt was ousted from the mayoral race after L.A. City Council member Nitya Raman finished second to incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.
Last Friday, the 42-year-old “Speddy” alumnus appeared to concede in the race, sharing a video with X in which he said he would not be the next mayor.
“Angelenos are currently burdened with two idiots who are responsible for all of their problems, and they have to choose between one of them and someone who is even more stupid,” he said in the video, referring to Raman and Bass.
“It’s not a choice. It’s the machine protecting the machine,” Pratt insisted.
The former MTV star then told viewers that he had “no idea” how “bad” things would get in Los Angeles.
“The city is a mess, and we’re going to give the arsonists who set this place on fire another four years of destruction,” he claimed.
“My goal hasn’t changed. I’ve been focused on stopping these communist animals, and I will stop them,” Pratt said in the video.
The father of two decided to jump into politics after losing his home in the 2025 Palisades fire.
Pratt launched a campaign in January focused on cracking down on crime, addressing the homeless crisis and criticizing city leadership’s handling of the wildfires.
The LA mayoral race will be decided between Raman and Bass on November 3rd.
