Jalen Brunson doesn’t want any bad blood.
The New York Knicks star and NBA champion defended sports analyst Monica McNutt after she slammed the singer on the microphone.
On Saturday, while McNutt was interviewing the NBA Finals 2026 MVP following the team’s historic victory in San Antonio, Brunson grabbed the microphone and delivered a message to the Swifties who have been attacking ESPN personalities online.
“I want to say something to the Swifties, she’s a really great player,” the 29-year-old said of McNutt, 36, in a video shared online.
“Give her some space. It’ll be okay, I promise,” Branson added.
McNutt responded, “Thank you. I appreciate it.”
Page Six reached out to McNutt’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
During Game 4 of the NBA Finals last Wednesday, McNutt was caught making some questionable comments about Swift, who was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden with teammates Alana and Este Haim.
“Is that Taylor Swift over there?” McNutt asked in the viral clip.
When fellow announcer Tyler Murray responded that he didn’t expect Swift to be there, McNutt pointed out the “Bad Bloods” singer, explaining her “long ponytail” and “blue” outfit.
Murray pulled out his cell phone to take a photo of the pop star for his wife.
“She’s not a Knicks fan,” McNutt said. “Get out of here, girl.”
The next day, McNutt told TMZ that although he “misspoke” about Swift’s Knicks fans, the Grammy winner hasn’t attended the team’s home games all season.
“I literally just did a piece about celebrity turmoil. I know these people: Ben Stiller, his wife Christine, Spike Lee. I’ve never seen her here this year or last year,” she told the outlet.
“We just saw her in Cleveland with her fiance. Obviously, Travis (Kelce) supports the Cavs. She didn’t have any of the Knicks paraphernalia,” McNutt continued. “So I didn’t know about her loyalty to the Knicks. But shout out to T-Swift. We can unite in orange and blue.”
McNutt said her comments were “wrong” and that “nobody cared” about her comments as the Knicks came back from a 29-point deficit to win the game.
