David Beckham has declined interview questions as his family feud with son Brooklyn Beckham continues.
In an interview published by Variety on Friday, the same day the soccer legend was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, David was asked how much “damage” the “vicious” reporting of the “family feud” had caused them.
“To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you here, but it’s a personal matter,” David replied. “That’s one thing I don’t want to talk about.”
The closure comes amid a big moment for David, 51. His remaining children Romeo, Cruise, Harper and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, gathered to celebrate the Hollywood milestone.
As expected, Brooklyn did not attend with her siblings and parents.
After the ceremony, 14-year-old Harper was seen stopping by her brother’s Los Angeles home in photos obtained exclusively by Page Six. However, she was not immediately greeted and left.
A source confirmed to Page Six that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, are not at home and are believed to be in New York.
A representative for Brooklyn, 27, and Peltz, 31, told Page Six: “The fact that there was a cameraman at the scene when the letter was handed out tells us everything. This was staged for the cameras.”
Representatives for David and Victoria did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment for this story.
Brooklyn famously made a bombshell on social media in January, accusing her parents of a number of wrongdoings, including “controlling press coverage” about her family.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in a lengthy screed at the time, noting that his statement was an effort to “tell the truth about some of the lies that have been printed” while his parents “and their team” allegedly “continued to give interviews to the press” about his marriage to Peltz.
He also accused them of “performative social media posts, family affairs, and fake relationships.”
“I recently saw with my own eyes how much trouble they go to to feed countless lies to the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, in order to maintain their own facade,” he wrote.
Among Brooklyn’s most shocking accusations was that her mother, Victoria, 52, “hijacked” her first dance with Peltz at their lavish 2022 wedding and gave Brooklyn a “highly inappropriate dance” — a moment in which she wrote that she had “never felt so disgusted and humiliated.”
Brooklyn claimed that her parents “constantly tried to ruin[his]relationship” with Peltz even before their wedding.
Brooklyn has shut down her family and directed them to communicate only through her attorney from now on, writing that she and Peltz “do not want a life shaped by images, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future families.”
A source previously told Page Six: “Brooklyn has made it clear he doesn’t want to see his parents, but the rest of his family misses him.”
In an interview with Variety, David made it clear that his family with Victoria “always comes first.”
She added, “That’s our priority and that’s what works when we’ve been together for so long. Our priority has always been family.”
Brooklyn and Nicola have given mixed reactions to the ongoing drama on social media. On Saturday, Nicola shared a photo of a colorful sunrise above the trees on her Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn reshared a photo of herself jogging in the morning sunshine.
