Zoe Kravitz is British Vogue’s cover girl and is waxing philosophical about aging.
In an interview with the magazine, she said that instead of focusing on her appearance, “I really want to work on improving or evolving my inner self.”
“If you’re spending this time getting upset about not looking the way you want, you’re wasting your time,” she continued. “I think I’m very conscious of the fact that I’m going to die someday.”
Although she didn’t say whether she would get Botox or cosmetic surgery in the future, she waxed poetic about the aging process.
“Whether you get Botox or not, you’re going to age. You’re going to look different in some way. If you’re not mentally prepared for the fact that life is going to happen, that’s going to be the hardest thing to do,” she added.
Kravitz isn’t the only celebrity to speak out against racing against time.
Kate Winslet said of the idea of “chasing perfection in order to get more likes on Instagram,” saying, “The world is such a mess.”
Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian has vowed to quit Botox for good, sharing her reason for “keeping[her]third eye open.”
Of course, there are those on the other end of the spectrum, like Kris Jenner, Kardashian’s mother, who recently underwent full plastic surgery and told Vogue Arabia, “I decided to get this surgery because I wanted to be the best version of myself. It makes me happy.”
Kravitz, on the other hand, is no stranger to needles. She showed off plenty of body ink in the British Vogue spread, including a new tattoo that matches one that her fiancé Harry Styles recently added to his collection.
