Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were reunited with other members of the British royal family at the wedding of their cousins Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling.
The sisters were pictured arriving with their husbands at a wedding at All Saints Church in Kemble, a village in the Cotswald region of Gloucestershire, England, on Saturday.
They were joined by Peter’s mother, Princess Anne, and her husband, Lieutenant General Timothy Lawrence, as well as Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall.
King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Duchess Kate, Prince Edward and Sophie were also in attendance.
The event will be the second major royal event attended by the sisters since their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were mired in scandal over renewed interest in their relationship with the late convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. (The sisters also joined the family for the annual Christmas service last December).
Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, who recently revealed she is pregnant with their third child, have kept a very low profile since their father was officially stripped of his royal titles and kicked out of the royal residence by his brother King Charles.
Although they were both able to retain their titles of royal princesses, the sisters decided to quietly flee the UK at the time of the scandal, choosing to take low-key holidays separately.
Eugenie, 36, was spotted on a girls’ trip to Paris with friends, while Beatrice was pictured posing for photos at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
However, as some of you may recall, scrutiny of the former prince increased after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in office in February.
As a result, his daughters were told they would not be able to attend Royal Ascot in 2026, which runs from June 16 to June 20, or attend the Royal Parade with their families.
The princesses’ attendance at family events could be a good sign that things are improving for the royal sisters, and may even encourage them to remain in the UK with the rest of their family.
In March, it was reported that Princess Beatrice was considering moving to the United States to escape her parents’ scandal.
Sources told the Daily Mail that Beatrice is “mortified” by the Epstein scandal and “desperate to put things behind her”.
