Duchess Meghan posted two new photos to mark Lilibet’s fifth birthday. Lili appears wearing a cream-colored dress with flower embroidery on the hem. Meghan has shown glimpses of her daughter throughout the past year, with Lili often wearing floral dresses in photos.
Meghan Markle celebrated her daughter Lilibet’s fifth birthday early and brightly today, sharing a tribute to her youngest son on Instagram. The post included two new photos of Lili, one of which showed off her long red hair and latest floral dress. “The girl of our dreams,” Meghan wrote. “Happy 5th birthday, Lili🤍”
Lili appeared wearing a cream-colored dress with flower embroidery on the skirt.
This appears to be the same dress she wore when she attended As Ever’s High Camp Supply collaboration shoot with her mom earlier this year.
Meghan has been posting pictures of Lili here and there over the last year. In the shots, you can see that her daughter often wears floral-print items, a style that has become a bit of a hallmark for the young royal, whose nickname is pronounced the same as flower.
In mid-May, Meghan shared with fans a video of Lili helping her choose an outfit for an appearance in Geneva. “Mommy’s little helper 💜,” she wrote. Lili arrived wearing a red rose hair tie and matching ruffled ensemble.
Meghan, 5, wore a white dress decorated with pink and orange flowers on her family’s recent trip to Disneyland, which she shared on May 11.
During Easter, Lili also wore a pink sleeveless dress covered in flowers.
Lili’s birthday is about a month after her brother Archie’s birthday. The Duchess of Sussex posted two new photos of him to mark his seventh birthday, putting the spotlight on his big day.
Duchess Meghan meticulously documents her children’s daily lives. In April 2025, she detailed that she kept secret emails for them where she regularly sent photos, videos, and audio recordings of themselves.
“I’ll text them things like, ‘Here’s my report card from today,’ or ‘Oh my god, I said the funniest thing this morning,’ or ‘Here’s a picture of us having breakfast,'” she said on The Jamie Cahn Lima Show. “These messages may include things you don’t want framed or things you don’t intend to put pen to paper in your diary.”
She said she hopes that one day when she hands Lili and Archie the report, they “will be able to look back and say, ‘Oh my God, she loved us so much.'” “I think that’s the best thing about being a mother. And we go back to words of love and gifts. It’s not about the grandeur of the act. It’s, ‘I’m looking at you. I’m nurturing you, and I’m looking at you so deeply. And I love being able to see you grow.’ And I’m so proud of them.” ”
