Somewhere, Lyle von Luhmann is raising a glass.
Irina Shayk’s bejeweled bra top (or necklace?) for Blue Marine’s Resort 2027 campaign appears to be a direct descendant of the look worn by Isabella Rossellini as the eternally youthful villainess in the 1992 dark comedy Death Becomes Her.
In the film, Rossellini’s character appeared wearing layers of beaded jewelry tied together like a halter around a red velvet wrap skirt. In Sheikh’s version, the colorful gemstones are replaced with clear crystals and silvery metal flowers, but the blueprint is unmistakable.
The 40-year-old supermodel paired the piece with a black fringed maxi skirt in one image, while swapping it out for black briefs, sheer tights and a feather-trimmed cardigan in another.
Creative director David Koma described the collection as “seductive and sensual, bold and delicate, thorny and beautiful.”
At the 2026 Met Gala earlier this month, Shayk wore a dangerously low-rise Alexander Wang skirt, a bra made entirely of stacked tennis bracelets, chains, and strategically placed gemstones.
While it seems to be in line with the latest looks from Victoria’s Secret models, jewel-encrusted tops with nothing underneath are also quite the trend in Hollywood.
Anne Hathaway and Jenna Ortega both wore bejeweled Givenchy by Sarah Burton tops with nothing underneath, but Doechy put a twist on the same chandelier top style at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Nicola Peltz wore a similar look on FX’s The Beauty, a show directed by Ryan Murphy that explores beauty ideals.
Meanwhile, Shayk loves to wear something edgy, wearing a leather corset gown and matching gloves to the 2026 SAG Actor Awards, and sporting an even more shocking leather look for V Magazine earlier this year.
