Ray J was reportedly hospitalized in Las Vegas after a mixed martial arts match with Spa Hot Fire.
The “One Wish” hitmaker was admitted to a Sin City medical facility just hours after being knocked out by the YouTuber, whose real name is DeWayne DeShawn Stevenson (aka DeShawn Lowe), TMZ reported.
Ray J went to the hospital about two hours after Saturday’s game and has remained there for two days, according to a source close to the R&B star, the newspaper reported.
They added that doctors are conducting tests to determine whether Ray J., whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., suffered a concussion.
Sources told the show that the singer’s heart rate also slowed after the encounter.
Representatives for Ray J and Spa Hot Fire did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The two met last weekend in a UFC Apex bout hosted by livestreamer Adin Ross, but the fight quickly came to an end as Supa Hot Fire, 35, landed a much-talked-about knockout blow to Ray J, 45, in the second round.
The embattled “What I Need” singer appeared to be disoriented immediately after taking the blow and fell into the ropes before hitting the ground. I regained my composure, stood up, and sat down in my chair before the referee announced the match.
In the post-match interview, Ray J accused Supa Hot Fire of abandoning the match-fixing scheme, seemingly calling the alleged move “junkie like fk.”
Ray J’s knockout comes months after he was reportedly hospitalized with pneumonia and “heart pain” and claimed he had months to live.
“2027 is definitely the end for me,” he said in part in an Instagram video in January. “That’s what they say.”
He added, “And damn, when it’s all over, burn me. Stop burying me.”
Ray J later told TMZ that his doctors told him to take it easy for a while, revealing that he is taking Lipitor, a cholesterol medication, as well as Entresto and Jardiance, which are commonly prescribed to people at high risk for heart failure.
