Chelsea Handler’s horizontal life includes several hidden big names.
The comedian has opened up about an “unbearable” date he once went on with an unknown celebrity.
“He was so boring. But I can’t say his name. I just can’t,” Handler, 51, teased on Tuesday’s episode of Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.
The stand-up explained that she made the first move, but the mystery man “accepted it.”
“We went on a date and it was unbearable. And I worked hard,” Handler confessed. “He was very serious about himself as an actor.”
The author called her suitor “so boring” and added, “He was talking about acting in a way that I couldn’t take seriously.”
Handler, who calls herself an “entertainer” rather than an actress, couldn’t believe how self-centered her date was.
“He didn’t ask me any questions about myself,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’
However, the two had a different version of events, with the actor thinking the night was “amazing.”
Meanwhile, Handler and her potential suitor met in America but went out together in different countries.
“I was really off track. I was on my way somewhere and stopped for a night on the town to go on a date with this guy,” the “Chelsea Lately” alum admitted.
Handler said she feels like a woman in her 20s who had to lie to escape a harrowing night.
“I was really following him, but when I sat down with him, I thought, ‘You’re so boring, so annoying.'”
“That’s what’s wrong with men,” Handler said. “He was very passionate about himself, his process and acting.”
The manga expected the two to take the conversation in a lighter direction, but that moment didn’t happen.
Meanwhile, Handler told Cavallari, 39, for the second time, without naming him, that she had a “kind of nice relationship” with a major celebrity.
“It wasn’t a long-term thing. It was a few months,” she continued.
But Handler didn’t hesitate to drop one of his known nicknames.
She called her night out with Bobby Flay “terrible.”
Ms. Handler claimed that the chef, 61, ordered room service but did not leave her a bill.
The two tried to go out again, but according to Handler, “It was just a mess.”
Handler’s confession comes several years after her split from fellow comedian Jo Koy.
The previous blaze was announced to be extinguished in 2022, less than a year later.
Handler previously dated Comcast CEO Ted Herbert for four years from 2006 to 2010.
That same year, she began a romance with Animal Planet star Dave Salmoni.
Handler was also briefly linked to 50 Cent, whom she calls her “favorite ex-boyfriend,” in 2011.
Talk show host and businessman Andre Barras was in a romantic relationship between 2011 and 2013.
In March, Handler debuted a new romance with a mystery man she calls “Cowboy” on Instagram.
