K. Michelle is over her broken friendship with Porsha Williams.
The “Love ‘Em All” singer doubled down on her claims that Williams was “conspiring” against her while filming the current season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” telling Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that she became wary of the reality star’s intentions as soon as the cameras started rolling.
“I feel like she’s coming in. That’s who she is,” K. Michelle said of Williams. “So I was already skeptical of even stepping into that period.”
Williams introduced K. Michelle to the “RHOA” cast this season, but the musician insisted he didn’t need the reality star to secure a spot on the Bravo series.
“And I know there are people who are brought onto the show for this and that, but I was going to be on the show without you. It wasn’t about you,” she explained.
K. Michelle said she originally wanted to join castmate Angela Oakley in the group after the two began developing a friendship off-camera.
“Actually, I wanted Angela to take me because we were starting to develop a relationship and I wanted Angela to take me,” she said.
Still, K. Michel decided to give Williams the benefit of the doubt considering their history.
“So when I was told that Porsha (would be) because we’ve done movies and we’ve done ‘Go Girl’ and we support each other with photography and things like that, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to go in with an open mind and I’m going to see what happens with my own eyes,'” she recalled.
According to K. Michelle, what she observed only confirmed her suspicions.
“And the behavior is exactly as I thought it would be,” she insisted. “This is a behavior that is very well-PR’ed and knows how to talk at this point and knows how to basically sit there and smile and deal with it.”
“But I know what I’m doing and I consider myself a producer,” she continued. “I’m never going to be produced. You’re never going to yo-yo me. You’re never going to produce me.”
Tension between the women came to a head on the May 17 episode of RHOA when K. Michelle accused Williams of making a cryptic joke about oysters during a cast dinner during the group’s trip to Dallas.
K. Michelle told Virtual Reali-Tea that she believes the comment was a subtle attempt to embarrass her over long-standing online rumors about her vaginal hygiene.
The singer also claimed that Williams was genuinely not interested in forming a true friendship with her, alongside Phaedra Parks and Drew Sidora.
Instead, K. Michelle said she was naturally drawn to forming bonds with castmates Kelly Ferrell, Shamir Morton, Pinky Cole, and Oakley.
“And I feel like I didn’t perform as well as people expected me to,” she said. “And if I didn’t go, if I didn’t pick this group, if I didn’t do this, I was like, ‘Oh, you didn’t get in line.'”
K. Michelle and Williams once publicly supported each other, but it appears their friendship has officially soured, and viewers are now watching to see how it ends on screen.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at 8pm ET on Bravo, and new episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
