And that’s exactly how Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary.
The actress posted a touching tribute to her husband via Instagram on Tuesday, along with a throwback snapshot.
“May 19, 1997 to May 19, 2026,” the “Sex and the City” alum, 61, captioned the social media upload. “It’s our 29th year. And it’s going to continue.”
She continued, “My love, your favorite band is serenading me. Us. Forever young. Xxx, your wife Sarah Jessica.”
Parker’s post included two framed newspaper snapshots of herself and Broderick, 64, and a Polaroid of the actor kissing her on the forehead.
The Emmy winner’s friend Andy Cohen commented, “And they said it wouldn’t last long!”
Mindy Kaling called the pair “truly the only couple of all time.”
Parker and the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star went on their first date in March 1992, four months after they were introduced.
The couple had a surprise wedding in May 1997, shocking 100 wedding guests who believed they were attending a party at the Ángel Orensanz Synagogue.
Parker chose a black dress for her New York City wedding because, as the Golden Globe winner later told Marie Claire, she was “too embarrassed to have a white wedding.”
In a 2006 interview, she said, “Matthew and I were both reluctant to have people pay that much attention to us. It’s ridiculous, because that’s when you enjoy the attention and it’s natural.”
Three years later, Parker admitted that she would “come clean” if given the chance to marry again.
“I want to wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like the one I should have worn that day,” she confessed to Today viewers in 2009.
Since the ceremony, the “And Just Like That” alum and Broderick have welcomed three children together.
Their son James, now 23, was born in 2002, followed by twins Tabitha and Marion, now 16, in 2009 via surrogate mother.
