Millie Bobby Brown once said she wouldn’t reveal her daughter’s name, but something strange happened.
Social media users are convinced the actress debuted her little one’s nickname “Ruth” in an Instagram post over the weekend.
In Saturday’s slideshow, the 22-year-old “Stranger Things” alum paired her yellow bikini with a gold body chain and a host of jewelry, including a gold “loose” necklace.
“Her necklace says Ruth! Baby name??!!,” one fan asked, while another called the choice “so cute.”
However, a third person suggested the jewelry could be a tribute to Brown’s late grandmother Ruth, who passed away in 2020. “But she could have named her baby after herself…”
Representatives for Mr. Brown did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Notably, the “Enola Holmes” star appeared to share her child’s initials in August 2025, just days after she and husband Jake Bongiovi announced they were starting a family.
At the time, Brown was photographed holding a pink phone case emblazoned with the letters “R,” “W,” and “B,” the latter likely referring to Brown or Bon Jovi’s last name.
The two married in a private ceremony in May 2024, and then tied the knot again in Italy in September of the same year.
After getting married, Brown was vocal about her desire to have children with her 24-year-old partner.
“Even before I met Jake, this was my thing. … I wanted to be a (young) mother like my mother was to me,” she told listeners of her podcast “SmartLess” in March 2025. “Personally, building a family is very important.”
In a joint statement five months later, Brown and Jon Bon Jovi’s son announced they had become parents.
“This summer we welcomed a beautiful baby girl through adoption,” they exclaimed. “We are very excited to embark on the next chapter of this beautiful parent-child relationship in both peace and privacy.”
The couple have kept their baby’s face off social media, but Brown insisted to British Vogue in November 2025 that she intended to keep her daughter’s name a secret.
“For me, it’s very important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to one day share it herself,” she explained. “It is not my place to intentionally or unwillingly put the spotlight on her.
“If she chooses to one day share her personality with the world, like I did when I was young, we support that,” the Emmy nominee continued. “But now that she’s so small, it’s our job to protect her.”
