Jason Biggs’ recent weight loss and work-related “stress” have reportedly caused a “wedge” in his marriage to Jenny Molen.
“Jason has definitely changed since his post-weight-loss transformation. He’s lost a lot of weight, which has definitely helped boost his ego,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“I don’t think he wanted to lose that much weight, but it happened and he’s proud of the results, as anyone who loses 40 pounds or more would be,” the source added.
Last April, the “American Pie” star spoke exclusively to Page Six about her weight loss journey, saying she had to lose a few pounds because she had “cholesterol issues.”
After changing her diet and exercise habits, Biggs said her “cholesterol dropped 70 points.”
Sources told the Daily Mail that in addition to Biggs’ weight loss, “stress” from the “American Reunion” actor’s recent work projects also caused a rift between Biggs and his “Dinner and a Movie” co-star.
“He had his first major directorial debut last year (‘Untitled Home Invasion Romance’) and it was a really stressful time for him,” the source explained.
“Trying to stay in the spotlight and keep coming out with projects as interesting as what he was previously known for can be a difficult task,” they added.
“But he has such a reputation, and he knows that and he puts pressure on himself to not do things that would get just as much attention. I think Jason has had more stress in his life lately than Jenny, and I think that’s definitely caused a little bit of a wedge.”
A source claimed that Biggs and Moren, 46, were “really a team” during their marriage, but “issues” grew between them “for a while” and they even went to couples therapy, which “really helped them stay married for a long time.”
“If they hadn’t been in therapy, they probably would have broken up two or three years ago,” a source told the Daily Mail.

Page Six reached out to representatives for Biggs and Moren for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Last Friday, Page Six confirmed that the “Amateur Night” costars had divorced after 18 years of marriage.
A spokesperson said the ex-couple remains on good terms and is focused on raising their two sons, Laszlo, 8, and Sid, 12.
