Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein’s “amazing chemistry” was on full display Wednesday night.
The “Office Romance” co-stars posed and snuggled up to each other on the red carpet at the 2026 Netflix Upfront held at Sunset Pier 94 Studios in New York City.
Lopez, 56, stunned in a blush pink midi dress, while Goldstein, 45, wore a light gray blazer with a gray polo shirt and white pants.
“We just had great chemistry to begin with,” the singer gushed to People on the Carpet, referring to Goldstein and the Netflix rom-com, which will be released on June 5. “As we made movies together, our chemistry became even better,” he said.
“I was imagining someone more rough, but here came someone who was so kind, gentle, yet so smart and so charming. I think that was a surprise.”
Lopez also admitted that she was a “huge fan” of Goldstein even before they co-starred after seeing him play Roy Kent on the Apple TV show “Ted Lasso.”
“I thought he would be more like the character, but he was so soft-spoken and kind and completely different.”
In the new film, Lopez plays CEO Jackie Cruz, who falls in love with new employee Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein.
The comedian, who co-wrote the film with Joe Kelly, told the media that he always had the “On the Floor” songstress in mind for the role of Jackie.
“We started asking ourselves, who is the best romantic comedy star? And without hesitation, we said J.Lo,” he recalled. “It’s easy to write a romantic comedy with J. Lo in mind. She’s the best at this. We just wanted to write something funny and smart that would make her say yes.”
When the cast of Office Romance was announced in September 2024, fans were quick to point out that Goldstein had been in love with Lopez for years.
A social media user posted a clip via X of Goldstein gushing about his appearance on “Hustlers” on a July 2018 episode of the podcast “Films to Be Buried With.”
He also expressed jealousy towards one of his female co-stars in a scene where Lopez hugged her while wearing a fur coat.
“I’ve never wanted to be hugged more,” Goldstein said. “That is one of the best hugs.…Give me your special hug.”
Another X user resurfaced a slide on his Instagram Story showing the Emmy winner gushing over Lopez with heart eyes and a surprised emoji.
Notably, Lopez had filed for divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck, in August of the same year, and was still single when she began filming with Goldstein.
Since then, she has not had any public relationships.
As for Goldstein, his only public relationship was with British comedian Beth Rylance in 2021.
