Billy Ray Cyrus paid tribute to his ex-wife Tish Cyrus on social media with kind words on her 59th birthday.
On Wednesday, the “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker shared a video of himself performing his 2007 hit “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” dedicating the informal acoustic performance to “Hannah Montana Nation and all our friends at Disney” and wishing Tish and his mother Lucy a happy birthday.
Billy Ray quoted the song’s lyrics and captioned it, “Stars in her eyes ⭐️. Awards for her to win.”
“Two of the greatest mothers of all time were born today and tomorrow. My mother Lucy was born on May 14th…and the mother who drove Miley into the driveway while I was writing the song ‘Ready Set Don’t Go,'” he wrote.
“Happy Birthday Tish. I wish you peace, love, and happiness… forever.”
Fans flocked to the comment thread on Wednesday to offer their heartfelt condolences, with one person writing: “🥺💕 I’m crying.”
Another said, “I’m obsessed with this version 😍😍🫶🏻,” while another chimed in: “This song always makes me cry.”
Noah Cyrus, the former couple’s youngest child, wrote, “I was blessed with the best parents in the world…life is so special 🎀💗Happy Birthday to you and your mom!!! I miss seeing my grandma every day.”
Representatives for Tisch did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Wednesday afternoon.
Silas’ mother, Ruth Ann Casto, passed away in 2022 at the age of 85.
Billy Ray, 64, and Tish, 59, have children Brandi, 38, and Trace, 37, who were adopted by Billy Ray after he married Tish in 1993, as well as Miley, 33, Blazon, 32, and Noah, 26, who divorced in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage.
“We have grown together and raised a family that we are proud of, and now it is time to forge our own path,” they wrote in a joint statement to People magazine at the time.
The family drama sparked by the split appeared to have subsided as Billy Ray wished Trish a friendly birthday wish.
Billy Ray was briefly married to singer Firerose, 37, but they divorced in 2024 after less than a year of marriage, while Tish married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell, 56, in 2023.
The country star then began an epic romance with supermodel Elizabeth Hurley, 60.
The “Austin Powers” star spoke exclusively to Page Six about their swirling relationship at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party in New York on Tuesday.
When asked if she ever imagined being romantically involved with Cyrus while spending time at his ranch in Tennessee, she said: “I never had the foresight to think it would happen, but the funny thing is, my farm in Tennessee is very similar to my farm in Gloucestershire, so in a way it feels normal.”
Hurley, who shares 24-year-old son Damian Hurley with late producer Steve Bing, appears to have settled into mixed family life with Billy Ray.
She was spotted attending the Stagecoach Festival last month, where Billy Ray joined Noah and Brayson on stage for a performance of “On Our Way Along.”
