Marvel’s long-awaited WandaVision spinoff, Vision Quest, will debut on Disney+ on October 14th.
It has been known for some time that the show will be released in the fall of 2026. Disney revealed the release date on Upfront, where the company also announced a slew of news about other shows.
The series, starring Paul Bettany as an android and former Avenger, was announced to begin development in October 2022, a year and a half after the conclusion of the Disney Plus miniseries WandaVision, in which Bettany played Scarlet Witch opposite Elizabeth Olsen.
The series is being touted by Disney as the “final installment” of the 2024 trilogy that begins with WandaVision and ends with the spin-off Agatha All Along, in which Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as the witch Agatha Harkness.
Vision Quest will also see James Spader reprise his role as Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron. The cast also includes Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and Ruaridh Mollica. Variety also reported the news that Lauren Morais and Diane Morgan have been cast in the series.
Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) will serve as showrunner for Vision Quest. The eight-episode series, part of Phase 6 of the MCU, was filmed in 2025 at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.
Disney’s presentation to advertisers in New York on Tuesday featured high-energy antics (and songs) courtesy of Olivia Rodrigo and baseball bat thrower Savannah Bananas. Kimmel joked in a monologue that touched on his longevity on ABC, with a nod to the recently aired drama “The Bachelorette.” “I’ve been through so much crap this year, and it’s made me appreciate this crap,” Kimmel said. “You have to throw a chair at your Mormon boyfriend to get ABC to take you off the air!”
