Zendaya supported Tom Holland at his velo padel tournament this week in Sherman Oaks, California. The candid video shows Holland stepping in midway through the event to adjust the back of her dress. The actor also told guest Tom Daly about the hobbies he and Zendaya love to do together at home.
Zendaya and Tom Holland’s latest appearance gave us a glimpse into their dynamic off the red carpet.
The actress was out in Sherman Oaks, Calif., this week to cheer on the Netherlands at a padel tournament sponsored by her non-alcoholic beverage brand, Belo. People captured the couple’s sweet moments during the event. When the back of Zendaya’s blue and white sundress seemed to be coming undone, Holland stepped in to adjust it.
Zendaya kept a relaxed vibe for her outing, wearing a printed sundress with a low neckline and open back, which she styled with minimal accessories.
She also attended her second Vero event wearing a translucent metallic dress with layered silver and gold chevron details.
Olympic diver Tom Daly was participating in a padel tournament but missed the competition. But he did let Holland reveal a little about his home life with Zendaya when he gifted her a crocheted Vero can holder. Daly told the actor, “Tom, while you were playing, I was crocheting. I was making it while you were playing padel. This is a vero bag.”
Holland expressed his gratitude and revealed that he and Zendaya share a common hobby. “So we crochet at home,” he said. “I really love it. I just love it… When you’ve had a stressful day, your brain finally turns off. You can’t do anything else and you have to let the laser burn you.”
Holland intentionally wanted to associate padel with his brand. He told USA Today about the genesis of the event, “I’m someone who’s really, really into the idea of community, and padel is a very social sport. You’re so close to your opponents and you get to have a good chat on the court and get to know people. And for me, if you can bring people together and have a fun day and celebrate Velo at the same time, that’s kind of the perfect recipe.”
