Lexi Brown slammed her “friends” Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion for not coming to her defense after the WNBA star was accused of being the other woman responsible for their breakup.
“I wouldn’t have cared if either of them had come out and said that, because at the end of the day, they’re the ones in the relationship, they’re the ones dealing with this, they’re the ones communicating with each other,” Brown told FOX News Digital on Thursday.
“So one or both of them knows it’s not me,” the athlete added.
The Seattle Storm star has publicly denied any involvement in the affair rumors, saying she was the “only one” who went public with them.
“And the fact that I’m the only one still defending my name, I…I just don’t know what to make of it,” she said.
“And the fact that there are massive protests happening to protect Black women and no one mentions Lexi Brown’s name in that conversation is the thing that I have the hardest time processing,” Brown, 31, added.
“I was hoping that the truth was out there somewhere and it would come out from that side… They just allowed me to be dragged, and a lot of people allowed me to be dragged into the mire… It was really unfortunate.”
The former Chicago Sky star said he “knows” Thompson, 36, because of his pro basketball career and “considers him a friend.”
But Mr Brown said he didn’t know Megan, also 31, “at all”.
She said she had received “threats against (her) life” after Brown’s name was brought up in the cheating allegations.
“I was receiving threats about my health. My family started receiving comments and threats from people,” she said.
“I had to hire a security guard to accompany me on my trips. It got to the point where I was scared of myself,” Brown added.
Over the weekend, Brown denied that he was the woman with whom the Dallas Mavericks player allegedly had an affair with Megan.
“I have seen what has been said online and I want to be clear: None of it is true and I am not involved in this situation,” she wrote on her Instagram Story last Sunday.
“This week is the start of an important and exciting new season for me and my focus is completely on it,” Gard added.
The denial came after a random Twitter user made baseless claims that Brown had shared messages between her and Thompson “with her closest friends,” in which Brown claimed her romance with the “WAP” rapper was “just for social media.”
Last Saturday, Megan took to her Instagram Story to claim that the four-time NBA champion had been unfaithful to her.
“Cunning, made me play house with the whole family…’I got chills,'” she wrote.
“I’ve held you down during basketball season with your horrible mood swings and your treatment of me. Now you don’t even know if you can be ‘monogamous’?” the three-time Grammy winner added.
In a statement to Page Six, Megan confirmed that she had broken up with Thompson.
The former Golden State Warriors star has been linked to several A-list women over the years, but has not publicly addressed the allegations.
But on Wednesday, he recorded himself acting unfazed while on a boat in the ocean.
