Britney Spears seemed unfazed when she was spotted out for the first time since leaving rehab.
The pop star was snapped Thursday sitting in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes-Benz G Wagon with her feet up on the dashboard, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
She wore sunglasses and let her blonde hair down as she drove through Westlake Village and Calabasas.
A source close to Spears told Page Six that Spears is “doing much better” after leaving a rehab facility Wednesday night.
“She is healthy, happy, very positive and excited to start fresh,” the source said. “Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself.”
“She is looking forward to a bright future.”
A second source told Page Six that Spears is currently “continuing counseling remotely.”
The “Toxic” singer was formally charged with DUI on Thursday after being arrested for DUI on March 4.
Ventura County prosecutors charged Spears with misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She is scheduled to be arraigned in court on May 4.
Spears entered rehab on April 12 for substance abuse.
“This was her own choice,” a source told Us at the time. “This isn’t about one substance in particular, it’s two-fold. This is about Britney putting her mental health first and taking time to focus on what’s important to her.”
“She is diligent about taking care of her health,” the source continued. “This is something she really wants to do on her own. This was her own decision.”
Spears was arrested last month after authorities saw her weaving in and out of lanes. An unknown substance was also allegedly found in her car during her arrest, and she is believed to have been under the influence of a cocktail of alcohol and drugs.
Since her arrest, the singer has been spending time with friends and family, including her two sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
Last month, she shared a photo of herself with her children on a yacht.
