Denise Richards took to Instagram Tuesday morning to pay tribute to her friend Patrick Muldoon, who passed away on April 19 at the age of 57.
“This is so hard to explain in words,” Richards wrote. “I am deeply heartbroken and devastated by your loss. You were my best friend and my family. We met in our first acting class. I was 19 and had never worked in acting, and you were 21, a student at USC and a regular on Who’s the Boss?” And here we are. 36 years later. All of my adult life would not be the same without you. ”
“The friendship, love, support, respect and loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you entered. You were larger than life and everyone was drawn to you. So talented, the most underrated actor. And the most humble. Your line Your laughter, your kindness, your strength, your loyalty, your enthusiasm for life. The memories we had together are endless. More than anyone else, I don’t know what I would do without you. ”
Richards and Muldoon appeared together in Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 science fiction satire Starship Troopers. The two will also co-star in Kevin Interdonato’s new crime thriller film, Dirty Hands.
Richards wrote, “And now I need you more than ever. Because of this pain and heartache of losing you. Schweet Babe, we had those conversations, thinking we were going to live forever, or at least into our 90s. “Sweet babe, I’m looking for that sign. I need you to know that you’re still here with me. I love you so much and I miss you so much,” he concluded.
TMZ reported that Muldoon died of a heart attack at his home in Beverly Hills on Sunday. He is best known for playing the role of Austin Reed on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995. He also starred in the primetime soap opera Melrose Place from 1995 to 1996. As a producer, he has worked on “Tribes of Palos Verdes,” “Arkansas,” “Marlowe,” “The Card Counter,” “The Dreadful,” and “Riff Raff” with his storyboard productions.
