Ciara Miller addressed the viral photo of her crying in a New York Hermès store amid the shocking news of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance.
“I was supposed to meet a friend at Pastis, and it’s already 12:45. I’m like, ‘I can’t sit at lunch while I read this shit,'” the Summer House star said in recent comments to Glamor’s Hunter Harris via Substack, saying he felt like he was “losing his mind.”
She added: “My manager was down the street and came to see me.” Miller revealed he had been on the phone with co-star Paige Desorbo “for a while.”
On March 31, after co-stars Batula and West released a joint statement about their new relationship, the reality star was found lying on the sidewalk outside a luxury boutique, looking devastated.
“And I thought, ‘I don’t even know what to do. I’m in public,'” Miller said. “I was about to go home, but to be honest, the picture was taken before I could even get home.”
Ms Miller quipped that it was “dapper” to be photographed processing the news outside a luxury boutique.
“I thought, ‘How cool is it that there’s a Hermès between Hermès and Bruno Cucinelli,'” she joked. “Honestly, it’s so funny. I didn’t mean to put it right outside Hermès, but I have to say it’s still chic.”
That day, Wilson, who dated Miller in 2023, and Batula, who was close friends with Miller, made bombshells about their romance on social media that quickly went viral.
“We’ve seen speculation online increase, so we wanted to provide some clarity while this is still very new,” they shared via Instagram Stories.
“It was never our intention to intentionally hide anything. Given the complex relationship dynamics and intense scrutiny that comes with appearing on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before talking about it.”
The two stated that the relationship was “something neither of us expected” and that “their relationship was born out of a genuine friendship over many years.”
“As our emotions change, we wanted to take the time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” they said. “We also recognize that this has an impact beyond just us, and we never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”
The couple concluded their statement by saying, “We sincerely thank you for your understanding and respect as we work through this situation.”
Miller has unfollowed Batula and Wilson on Instagram, and sources told Page Six that Summer House celebrities, including Batula’s ex-husband Kyle Cooke, are said to be “angry” and “disappointed” with them.
In a Glamor profile published Friday, Miller said she learned of Batula and Wilson’s romances “with other people in the world.”
“I thought it was very telling that they couldn’t say each other’s names in the statement, but I don’t know,” she told the outlet, adding that she found out “less than 24 hours” before the statement was posted.
Hours after the announcement, Miller released a clip of himself interviewing the cast of Your Friends and Neighbors, sharply criticizing them.
“If you can’t trust your friends and neighbors, who can you trust?” she captioned the clip, in which she told star Jon Hamm that he’s “got better.”
West and Batula, on the other hand, don’t seem to be affected, and the two were spotted getting cozy on a PDA-filled date night at Yankee Stadium on Friday night.
