Kate Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attacking Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, Page Six has confirmed.
According to court documents viewed by Page Six, Kate was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a family member or household member and was booked into the Harris County Jail in Texas on $35,000 bail.
TMZ, which first broke the news, reported that sources say Kate, 44, was home at the time of the incident.
Kate and Michael, 65, had planned to swap children, but things quickly escalated when Kate became irritated by being woken up.
Sources say Kate had a violent outburst and punched Michael in a fight, causing his nose to bleed.
At one point, Kate allegedly went into the kitchen and threw a knife at her ex-girlfriend. However, he was unharmed when the knife ricocheted into his chest.
Police soon arrived at the scene and took Kate away in handcuffs.
Court records show Kate was intoxicated at the time of her arrest and will be required to submit to an alcohol test as a condition of her release.
She was also banned from having any contact with Michael, with whom she had two children. Logan Lohan with son Landon.
Michael’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In 2024, Kate was previously convicted of assaulting a family member.
Kate and Michael have endured a rocky relationship over the past few years. In February last year, Michael was arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly having sex with Kate.
Michael was arrested by police who found him outside while Kate was being examined, and was charged with “sustained violence against a family member”.
When authorities arrived, Kate filed a report with the responding officer, claiming that her estranged husband had knocked her over from a chair several days earlier.
