Warner Bros. has added a number of titles to its release calendar for 2027 and beyond, including the Aunt Gladys Weapons prequel and the Margot Robbie-starring Oceans prequel.

New additions to the schedule include “La Llorona’s Revenge” (April 9, 2027), “Ocean’s Part 1” (June 25, 2027), “Wrath of the Evil Dead” (April 7, 2028), “Gladys” (September 8, 2028), “Final Destination 7” (May 12, 2028), and Zack. Creger’s next thriller The Flood (August 11, 2028) and Baz Luhrmann’s untitled film about Joan of Arc (November 22, 2028).

Warner Bros. announced the news at CinemaCon, the annual gathering of movie theater owners currently being held in Las Vegas. Warner Bros. is in the process of selling the film to Paramount Skydance, and if the merger goes through, the production schedule could change and the release date could be moved. But Paramount CEO David Ellison has promised to release 30 movies a year once the two media giants come together.

Mike De Luca noted that overall box office revenue is down compared to pre-pandemic levels, as the number of major studio releases has fallen by 23%. “You don’t need a crystal ball to think about what the entrance will look like as the lost volume is compensated and restored,” he said.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has been increasing its production numbers since De Luca and Pam Abdi became co-chairmen in 2022. The studio released six films that year and could increase that number to 11 in 2025. Executives from both companies said they plan to release 14 films in 2026 and 18 in 2027.

“Look, I know not everything is going to be okay,” Abdi admitted from the stage. “There’s no risk-free version of this business. But our job is to step up, take a bet, and own it when things don’t work out.”
