After a tumultuous few years, Page Six has learned that Grimes, chart-topping musician and mother of Elon Musk’s three children, is returning to music.
The “Genesis” hitmaker reportedly kicked off his comeback on Sunday with a last-minute, blink-and-you-miss-it guest performance at Coachella in Indio, California.

She reportedly performed her new song “Signs from God,” which she co-wrote with Cobra, during the Swedish singer-songwriter’s set, but it’s the first time Grimes has appeared on stage in more than a year.
“It’s been a while since she last appeared on the show. It was a last-minute surprise,” a source said. “This song is from an upcoming Grimes project, with more coming in 2026.”
Her last performance at the 2024 festival was something of a disaster. After a series of technical problems, she was left screaming in frustration on stage.
According to our sources, she has appeared live several times since the incident, but “she is working on new projects offline. More will be announced soon!” they said.
Meanwhile, she’s knee-deep in courtroom drama with her billionaire baby daddy.
The “Oblivion” singer has three children, XÆA-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus, with the SpaceX founder from an on-and-off relationship from 2018 to 2022.

Grimes filed a lawsuit seeking custody of Musk in 2023, and the two engaged in an ugly custody battle that spanned two states: Texas and California.
At one point, the singer claimed to have been separated from one of her children for five months.
Last July, Grimes’ mother wrote a public letter to Musk on social media, saying:
“I am concerned that my children will not be able to come because you are withholding them and the necessary passport documents from (Mr. Grimes).” Musk did not respond to the claims.
