Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend Hannah Cross has revealed that she had issues with the Beckham family when she dated the chef seven years ago.
During an interview with Hello! In a magazine published on Sunday, the model spoke about Brooklyn’s ongoing feud with Nicola Peltz’s family.
“To be honest, I was very nervous about spending time with my family,” Cross said. “There were a lot of warning signs and things that happened during our relationship that, in hindsight, should have made me think that maybe I should have ended the relationship sooner or broken up with them.”
Kloss, who dated Brooklyn for nine months before they broke up in 2019, told the magazine that she didn’t look back on their relationship, saying it was a “good time” because it was a lot of pressure to get into Beckham’s orbit.
“I was only 20 or 21 when we started dating, I had just started modeling, I had moved from living on a farm to London, and I was thrown into a relationship like that. It’s hard to know what’s best to do in that situation,” she explained.
Since then, Kloss has done his best to “move on” from that chapter of his life, but he’s been drawn back into it ever since Brooklyn’s feud with his parents came to a head in January.
“When you’re constantly in the news and my name is always associated with it, it’s hard not to mentally pull yourself back into that part of your life, especially when stories like this keep coming up about feuds,” Kloss, now 28, explained.
Brooklyn launched a stunning attack on her parents, David and Victoria, via her Instagram Stories on January 19, including accusing her mother of dancing “inappropriately” on her at her 2022 wedding to Peltz.
Kloss said she found the post “shocking” at first, but admitted it “summed up a lot of[her own]experiences and also what family is like as a brand.”
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Victoria and David for comment.
But Brooklyn’s other ex-girlfriend, Lexi Wood, who called the Beckhams “the coolest family,” had a very different experience.
The “Summer House” alum gave insight into how this famous family works behind the scenes, sharing that they “travel together, live together,” and “do a lot of things together.”
She added: “It was so much fun to be around them.”
Brooklyn’s bitter feud with his family appears to stem from his relationship with Peltz. The actress and the former Spice Girls member reportedly never got along.
“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source close to the family told Page Six in August 2022, noting that problems were already “brewing” ahead of Peltz and Brooklyn’s lavish wedding.
“The lead-up to the wedding was terrifying,” they added.
Despite Victoria and David’s desperate efforts to reconcile with their eldest son, Brooklyn appears to be standing by his wife and refusing to get back together.
