Ryan Lochte boasted about his new girlfriend Molly Gillihan in a scathing email to his estranged wife, Kayla Rae Reid.
The real estate agent recently said on his Instagram Stories that he is “exhausted” with his ex-girlfriend, who continues to discuss divorce.
“This is something I deal with day in and day out,” Reid, who shares the Olympians with children Kaiden, 8, Liv, 6, and Georgia, 2, wrote above an email she allegedly received from Lochte.
“This was after seeing a two-year-old with strep throat,” she added.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg and I’m exhausted. My heart goes out to others going through similar situations. I’m tired of being disrespected behind closed doors. It’s literally a 2/1000 message.”
The 41-year-old 12-time Olympic medalist allegedly wrote in an email: “Molly is a 10 times better mother than you (sic). If it was a bad idea I don’t think we would go.”
“Look at the proposal I sent to your lawyer and continue with your life of gold mining,” he is said to have added.
In response to Ms Reid’s post, Ms Gillihan took to her Instagram Story to claim that her boyfriend’s estranged wife was spreading a “false narrative”.
“My response? Every text, every DM… every magazine,” she wrote.
“Sorry, I don’t follow Ryan’s ex on Instagram. I try to be really focused when I have kids, but you[Kayla Rae Reid Lochte]or whatever name you choose… you dropped your two-year-old off with us covered in vomit and didn’t have any pants on, and you sprinted off to your daughters weekend in Miami,” Gillihan claimed.
“You are a child and I am tired of your false narrative. Your followers love it and crave it. Your lies are for them. Good luck, girls. They are in your hands! Meanwhile, I will love your children and myself until my last breath.”
Page Six reached out to Reed and Lochte for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Reid filed for divorce from Lochte in March 2025 after seven years of marriage.
A month after filing the charges, she hinted at “betrayal” as news of her staggering six-figure debt hit the headlines.
In July 2025, Lochte shared an image of himself and Gillihan hugging each other on social media, making it public.
Two months later, the father-of-three revealed he had spent time in rehab after Mr Reid accused him of using drugs in front of his children.
In January, Lochte announced that she had moved in with Gillihan and their three children.
