Less than a week after he was shot in the leg, Offset ditched his wheelchair and took to the stage, sending fans into a frenzy.
The “Open It Up” rapper took to Instagram on Saturday to share a video of himself in a wheelchair in front of hundreds of people.
The audience cheered as he stood up and began playing his setlist.
Offset, 34, seemed to be feeling great as he walked around and jumped around.
He shared more photos of himself standing and posing in a red long-sleeved top and black sweatpants.
The hitmaker also wore a skull face mask and hat.
“True love ❤️,” he captioned the post.
Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephas) was tragically shot to death on April 6th in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
At the time, his rep told Page Six that the “Need It” rapper was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Additionally, Seminole County Police said the shooting “started as a dispute or fight,” and that “the situation was quickly brought under control.”
Fellow musician Lil Tjay (real name Tione Jaden Merritt) was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Jay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, denied any involvement in the shooting.
“We are issuing this release regarding false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in the shooting… as a result, former Migos member Offset sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” Florio said in a statement.
“Lil Tjay was not shot and has not been charged with the shooting. Any reports to the contrary are false.”
The next day, Offset was photographed outside the hospital smoking a cigarette with his mother, LaTavia Woodwar.
The ‘Anil Hate’ host also took to Instagram on Saturday to thank those who checked on him after the incident.
“I’m okay…but I’m going to be better,” he wrote. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to music…I realize that life is made up of quiet wins and big losses.”
Offset concluded by stating that life is a gamble if you are “still playing to win.”
