On April 12, pop star Katy Perry posted a merry-go-round photo from her trip to Coachella, the annual music festival in Indio, California. In the collection of photos and videos, her boyfriend Justin Trudeau played a featured role.
In one photo, a couple walk hand in hand through a crowd of festival attendees. Prime Minister Trudeau is wearing jeans, a white T-shirt, and a backwards baseball cap. Perry wears a white shirt with a more form-fitting cut and shorts. She wore a small black backpack, a black cardigan, and black boots over tall white socks.
In another photo, the two are sitting side by side eating snacks and taking sips from red Solo cups, but appear startled by a camera flash.
She also shared several videos of the former Canadian Prime Minister, most notably standing behind her while listening to music.
Another man Perry dedicated the merry-go-round to was headliner Justin Bieber. Perry got as close as possible to the “Yukon” singer’s set. She also shared an old photo of her handshake event with the musician, proving that she is a longtime fan.
In early March, sources told People that Perry and Trudeau were doing their best to spend time together while staying in for their families.
“Their number one priority is stability for their children. Katie and Justin have had to be flexible to make their relationship work,” the source said. “They travel as much as possible to spend time together. The long-distance dynamic was never a surprise to them.”
The source continued: “They really wanted to see how far things could go and were determined to make it happen.”
