Ben Affleck has reportedly given his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez the entire share of his $60 million mansion for free.
According to TMZ, the former couple amended their property settlement agreement to specify the “transfer of property between spouses.”
Although the documents do not specify the exact nature of the transfer, a person close to the situation told the outlet on Friday that Affleck transferred all of his stake in the property to Lopez for free.
Representatives for Affleck and Lopez could not immediately be reached for comment to Page Six.
Affleck and Lopez purchased a mansion in Beverly Hills, California, for $60.85 million in June 2023, while they were still married.
The 38,000 square foot home had a whopping 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a full basketball court, and was supposed to serve as the perfect love nest.
At the time, TMZ reported that the actor and pop star, who married in July 2022, paid for the pad in cash.
However, in June of the following year, amidst rumors of divorce, the couple put their home on the market.
Despite reports that the duo only sold the mansion because Lopez thought the property was “too big for her” and Affleck “never liked the house,” Lopez filed for divorce two months later.
That same summer, Affleck purchased a $20.5 million mansion in Pacific Palisades to be closer to his children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13.
Affleck and Lopez finalized their divorce in January 2025, but the future of the home was unclear as it was not yet on the market.
The following March, Lopez bought an $18 million home in Los Angeles for her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
But last summer, Affleck and Lopez took the house off the market in a surprising “business decision.”
“While they wanted to sell the property, they were hesitant to take a big loss,” a source told People at the time.
“They lowered the price to get more interest, but if that didn’t happen they were advised to take it off the market,” the official continued. “This was a business decision they made together.”
A real estate source told the magazine, “It’s a tough seller’s market, especially in this price range.”
The source added, “The most prudent decision seems to be to remove it from the market until a seller-friendly environment is created.”
But with this new development, it appears the future of the mansion is entirely in Lopez’s hands. Lopez recently said she feels “free” two years after her divorce from Affleck.
“I’m in happy times,” she exclaimed in a teaser clip that aired on “Good Morning America” last month. “I think for the first time in my life I felt like I was free and alone. And it feels really good.”
