Kylie Jenner returned to Coachella for the first time in a year, literally, in support of her longtime friend Justin Bieber, who will be headlining the festival on Saturday night.
For the first day of the festival, Jenner wore a green tank top with Bieber’s face on it, paired with black pants and blue Skyllk shoes. Skylrk is Bieber’s fashion brand. She posted her full look on Instagram on Friday afternoon, captioning it: “chelly day 1!!!!!” She also teased a Bieberchera manicure on her Instagram Stories.
On TikTok, she shared more videos of herself getting ready in the look.
Jenner has been close friends with Bieber for years. In 2015, she became ELLE She told UK, “We’re so close because I feel like he’s going through things in a completely different way but very similar to what I’m going through. So he just…he just…understands me. And every time I see him, he always sits me down and says, ‘Okay? You’re amazing. You’ll get through it, just stay true to yourself.'” He helps me out so much. ”
The star has been performing at Coachella for more than 10 years. Back in 2017, she spoke to ELLE about how she dresses for the occasion.
“I think it takes about a minute (to put the costume together),” she said. “I start thinking early, even if I change my mind 10 minutes before I get dressed. In my case, I need to find a hair color I’ve never done before. I don’t have much left, but I’m dedicated to finding new options.”
A few years later, in 2024, Jenner gave an update on her style evolution more generally in ELLE’s November cover story. “I think I’m actually going in the opposite direction[of minimalism],” she said. “I’ve definitely had my moments of quiet luxury, as I’ve often said, but I’m always experimenting. At the root of my authentic style, I think I’m much more darkly feminine.”
She attributed this change, saying, “I haven’t had kids in a few years. I spent my early 20s having kids, learning what my personal style was, and then losing it. I didn’t know how to dress, and I gained 60 pounds with two pregnancies. It took me a year to find myself again. Now, at 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever before.”
