Tori Spelling is speaking out for the first time since she was involved in a serious car accident with seven children in her car earlier this week.
“I just wanted to reach out to everyone. It took me a while to post because, as most of you know, four of my children, myself and three of their friends were in a car accident in Temecula (California) a few days before Easter,” Spelling said in an Instagram video posted Tuesday.
“We’re OK, but it was a real shock. We’re really grateful and we’re really lucky because it could have been a lot worse.”
“The driver who hit us was speeding, he was going at a ridiculous rate of speed. We believe he ran a red light, and we’re so grateful that our guardian angels were with us that day in a split second,” she explained.
The accident was first confirmed by TMZ on Saturday. Police told the outlet that officers were dispatched to a crash in Temecula on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. They found two cars with damage from the crash.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told People that Spelling, 52, was driving four of her children and three of their friends when she was hit by a speeding driver who ran a red light.
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star and all seven of her children were then taken to the hospital in three separate ambulances, where they were treated for injuries including cuts, bruises and concussions, TMZ reports.
There are no reports that four of Spelling’s five children were in the car with her at the time.
The actress shares children Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, nine, with her ex-husband and fellow actor Dean McDermott.
The couple divorced in 2023 after 17 years of marriage, and the divorce was finalized last year.
