“Saturday Night Live” star Chloe Fineman is facing backlash for an outlandish story she told in a Vanity Fair video, which has since been edited by the magazine.
The March 31 video, titled “Test How Well ‘SNL’ Cast Members Know Each Other,” begins with Feynman asking co-stars Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, Jane Wickline, and James Austin Johnson if they know the job she was fired from and rehired for when she was 16 years old.
Comedians offered multiple speculations, including whether she was fired from her job at a restaurant or retail store for making racially insensitive comments.
However, Feynman, 37, revealed that he was fired from his job as a camp counselor.
Day, 46, asked Feynman if he was attacking campers, to which he replied, “No, he made the boy wear his pants.”
“He was always lifting my shirt,” Feynman explained. “It was a different time. He’s like, ‘Hey, can I hug you?'” Then I went to hug him and he lifted my shirt, like ad-k. So I thought, “I’m going to get revenge.” ”
Feynman continued. “So we were hiking and I thought, ‘Hey, Ollie, look over there. It’s a hawk.'” He saw it, I pulled down his pants, and I was fired. ”
According to Variety, Vanity Fair redacted several parts of Feynman’s story, including her statement that the boy was 6 years old.
Ms. Feynman also told her co-stars in the original video that the camper’s “ding-a-ring was off,” to which Ms. Padilla responded, “Oh, honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere.”
“He wasn’t wearing any pants, and then a huge school bus passed by,” Feynman also said in the original video.
In YouTube comments, viewers scrutinized Feynman’s story.
One fan wrote: “It was pretty annoying to see Khloe making weird noises about exposing her child’s genitals.”
Another fan said, “I don’t understand why Chloe thought it would be an interesting story to share under the circumstances and why VF would air it.”
A third person wrote, “It was really terrible to make things so public about that child.”
“So now that Chloe Fineman has publicly admitted to exposing a 6-year-old’s genitals, we’re just going to ignore it?” another fan said.
Page Six has reached out to Vanity Fair and Fineman’s representatives for comment.
