Rumer Willis once again slammed parenting critics after sharing a video of herself breastfeeding her 3-year-old daughter Louetta.
The actress, who has a daughter with ex Derek Richard Thomas, shared a clip on Instagram on Saturday titled “When someone starts criticizing my parenting.”
This sweet clip then transitioned into a viral video of a woman drawing two circles on a whiteboard, saying, “This is my job,” and pointing to one circle while saying, “This is yours,” and pointing to the second circle.
“I’m here,” she continued, referring to the first circle. “The thing is, you’re here too,” she added, pointing to the same circle before drawing a line through the second circle.
“This is when you need to be here,” the woman concluded.
Rumer, 37, will join Louetta in 2023 along with Thomas.
It’s unclear when the exes started dating, but the “Wild Cherry” star confirmed their whirlwind romance in November 2022 with a PDA-filled snap.
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter announced that she and the musician had broken up in August 2024 when a fan asked on Instagram if they were still together.
“No, I’m a single mom and I’m co-parenting,” she said.
At the time, the “Hostage” star expressed his gratitude for his daughter, saying, “She’s the best thing in my life and I’m forever grateful that we were able to have that kind of relationship time for her to come into my life.”
Since then, Rumer has spoken out at length about being a single mom, and recently shared a video of herself crying while walking in the woods.
“I cried a lot in the woods… being a single mom is hard some days,” she wrote over the video. “She’s not hard (by any means), but some days it’s hard to do everything by herself.”
The “Wild Cherry” star also denied receiving financial support from her famous parents in February after posting a video on Instagram of her “never-ending” to-do list, which included housework, self-care activities and caring for her daughter.
“I work four different jobs to support my daughter,” she wrote in Stories at the time. “I’m the sole supporter of[my 2-year-old]. I’m not living on a trust fund, I’m not getting money from my parents. Most of the time, I don’t have any support for her. So I think you should pause for a moment before you judge or make assumptions.”
Loomer said she is “well aware” of her “privileges in life” and does not live her life “treating family support as a backup plan.”
