Zendaya’s lips were sealed.
The actress revealed on Wednesday’s episode of the New York Times podcast “Modern Love” that she doesn’t intend to set the record straight on whether she and Tom Holland are actually married.
The “Euphoria” star acknowledged “the level of parasocial investment in[her]personal relationships” as she and her partner “have grown up in front of people and been in movies where[they]fall in love with each other.”
She clarified, “I know that I’m a public figure, and so is he. … I really understand that, and I don’t want to deny it and say, ‘Don’t quit your job.'”
However, the 29-year-old explained that she is a “very private person” and is doing her best to “do what I can for[myself]and for him as well.”
Zendaya added that she and her Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars are trying to “protect things” and “maintain[their]joy” instead of “hiding from the world.”
The “Drama” star understands that fans want to know more about her and Holland’s dynamic, but she isn’t pulling back the curtain any time soon.
Zendaya said that by doing so, she was respecting her “own little boundaries.”
The former Disney Channel star, also 29, first sparked rumors of marriage in February when Holland was spotted wearing a gold band on her finger in place of a 5-carat engagement ring.
The following month, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach shocked the world by claiming the two had secretly married.
“The wedding has already taken place,” he told Access Hollywood on the SAG Actor Awards 2026 red carpet in March. “You missed it. It’s so true.”
A few weeks later, Zendaya refused to “clear up the mess” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” — Fake wedding video only confuses fans even more.
Meanwhile, her latest press tour outfit, which revolves around the classic wedding rhyme of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” fueled speculation.
Holland herself hasn’t gotten over the issue, having recently taken off her wedding ring.
He and Zendaya went public with their romance in 2021, and Zendaya debuted an engagement ring last year.
