Cardi B doesn’t mind that she’s the latest celebrity to enter the beauty industry.

The 33-year-old is set to launch her new hair care line, Grow-Good Beauty, on April 15, and appeared on “Aspire” with Emma Grede on Tuesday to talk about her latest venture.

Cardi was asked about the “saturated” market, to which Greedo, who has launched multiple brands with the Kardashian family, added: “Did you ever sit there and think, there’s Tracy (Ellis Ross) from Pattern Beauty, Beyoncé from Secred, Rihanna from Fenty… there’s so much competition…?”

“It’s not even about competition,” the rapper quickly retorted, adding, “It’s about what makes your hair grow.”

What about that “competition”? “It’s so good,” she said of Beyoncé’s hair care brand Cécred. “I can say that with confidence.”

She also emphasized, “There is no such thing as bad hair. ‘Good’ hair does not mean a certain texture. All hair is good.”

Cardi’s own brand was born out of fans’ curiosity about her DIY routine.

In 2020, she made headlines for her hair masks made with household ingredients like avocado, eggs, and mayonnaise. In 2022, she shared that she washes her hair with boiling onion water.

Grow-Good appears to be inspired by her natural routine. Avocados and bananas feature in her products, and the site cites “traditional rituals passed down in Dominican families” as inspiration.

The brand is sold out and available for pre-order with all products, including shampoo, conditioner, serum, hair mask, and more, priced under $20.
