It seems like people all over the world are following Kris Jenner’s every move.
Notably, Chinese social media users are now posting photos of businessmen as part of a trend to wish them success, good luck, and wealth.
According to Business Insider, the hashtag #krisjenner has received 52.9 million views on platforms such as RedNote. Users are even changing their profile pictures to Jenner’s images.
Chinese influencer Marcelo Wang took to TikTok on Friday to unravel what’s behind an unexpected meme.
He told viewers that this “super random” trend was popular because “Kris Jenner is one of the hardest-working businesswomen in America, and Chinese people really respect hard work.”
“Kris Jenner cosplay is like a fun way for Gen Z to express success,” Wang added.
Jenner herself commented under her clip: “Y’all are doing amazing, babe!!!” — quoting her iconic catchphrase from “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
In a follow-up video, Wang explained that “this trend has reached a whole new level.”
“Gen Z in China not only has Kris Jenner as their profile picture, she’s on every iPhone, iPad wallpaper, laptop…literally everywhere,” he pointed out.
He added that students are using the reality star’s image to “pretend” to pass school exams or even graduate from university.
Popular AI images of Jenner used in this trend include the media mogul eating ramen noodles, drinking tea, riding a bicycle, wearing a graduation cap and gown, and taking selfies around China.
“She is everywhere, helping China’s Generation Z bring good fortune,” Wang continued.
If action is to be based solely on success, China has certainly chosen the right celebrity. According to various reports, Jenner’s net worth in 2025 is estimated to be between $170 million and more than $200 million.
Much of mom’s wealth comes from running her children and their respective multi-million dollar businesses: Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian-Barker, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Rob Kardashian.
According to Business Insider, Chris earns a 10% commission from managing brands such as SKIMS, Kylie Cosmetics, 818 Tequila, Poosh, and Good American.
Of course, all of this was built after the 2007 premiere of Jenner’s first TV venture, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which aired for 20 seasons until 2021.
Shortly after, “The Kardashians,” which chronicles their daily lives, premiered on Hulu in 2022.
“My daughters are all incredibly hard-working businesspeople, so naturally they want to discuss deals and money and percentages,” Jenner told Vogue Arabia in 2025. “And when it comes to their daughters, they know they have a mother who has their best interests at heart and wants things to happen just as much as they do.”
