Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover car accident Friday on Jupiter Island, Florida.

The golf legend was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, authorities announced at a press conference shortly after the news broke.

“Woods showed signs of impairment and refused to submit to a urine test, so he was charged with DUI with criminal damage to property and refusing to submit to a lawful test,” Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said in a statement.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Woods has been involved in a car accident. Page Six breaks down everything that’s happened to the athlete.

November 2009: Crash into neighbor’s yard

In what is often considered the athlete’s most infamous accident, Woods crashed into a neighbor’s tree outside his Isleworth home in Windermere, Florida, wrecking his Cadillac Escalade, the Post confirmed at the time.

Woods lost consciousness in the accident and was later rescued by his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.

When emergency services arrived at the scene, they found Woods snoring and without socks or shoes.

It was later determined that he was under the influence of sleeping pills while driving.

The intense investigation Woods received into the incident subsequently revealed a series of infidelities on Woods’ part during her marriage to Nordegren, leading to their divorce in 2010.

He subsequently issued a statement apologizing sincerely for his affair and was admitted to a facility specializing in sex addiction.

May 2017: Arrested for drunk driving

After his first accident, Woods worked hard to clean up his image and build a tainted career, but lost all that progress in May 2017 when he was arrested for drunk driving in Jupiter, Florida.

At the time, police found him unconscious behind the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz.

To make matters worse, the 82-time PGA winner appeared shabby and bleary-eyed in his mugshot, which quickly went viral on social media.

Tests revealed that Woods (pictured after winning the 100th US Open in 2000) had a mixture of drugs in his system and is believed to have been involved in a minor car accident before police found him. Getty Images

Tests showed that Woods had Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien, and THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, in his system, and police said he appeared to have been in a minor car accident before finding him.

Shortly after his arrest, he announced that he was seeking “professional help” to “manage” the medications he claimed to take for back pain and sleep problems.

Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving in a deal to avoid a DUI conviction and was sentenced to one year of probation and a $250 fine.

February 2021: A near-fatal accident occurs in Los Angeles.

In February 2021, Woods was nearly killed in a high-speed single-vehicle crash near Los Angeles that left him with multiple leg fractures and required immediate surgery.

He was speeding in a Genesis GV80 SUV outside Los Angeles when he lost control and ran off the road. The car was traveling nearly twice the 45 mph speed limit, crashed into a tree and rolled over several times.

He was conscious and alert when he was pulled through the windshield of a wrecked luxury SUV after the accident.

“Mr. Woods was extremely lucky to make it out alive,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Carlos Gonzalez, who was first on the scene, said at the time.

The serious accident left Woods with “serious injuries” including a shattered ankle and fractures in both legs.

The airbags deployed and the interior of the car was essentially intact, “giving (Woods) a cushion to avoid an otherwise fatal crash,” Villanueva said.

He never fully recovered and suffered a life-altering injury to his right leg, resulting in permanent limited mobility and chronic pain.

March 2026: Crash in Florida

In his most recent accident, Woods was involved in another rollover car accident on Jupiter Island, Florida.

The accident reportedly occurred near 281 Beach Road just after 2pm local time.

Authorities said Woods was driving a “dark-colored Land Rover” when he attempted to pass a household pressure washer and cut the “rear end” of the truck’s trailer, causing the trailer to roll.

Sources told Page Six that neither Vanessa Trump, who Woods was dating at the time of the accident, nor her children were in the car.

However, it is unclear whether Woods was alone in the car.

The five-time Masters champion appeared to be “okay” on the scene, an eyewitness told TMZ.

It is not believed that anyone involved was seriously injured.
