Miley Cyrus accused Alex Cooper of being “creepy” and pretended not to know where the pop star lives during the premiere of Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.
The “Flowers” singer poked fun at the “Call Her Daddy” podcast creator for hosting the highly anticipated “Hannah Montana” event while chatting with fans Monday night at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.
“Alex is a super fan and it’s kind of creepy. She’s my neighbor too, which is creepy too,” Cyrus, 33, began in a video shared with X. “She got paid and then moved in next door to me, so there were no other hosts.”
Cyrus continued, “Yeah, it was weird. She was like, ‘Oh my god, do you live here?'” She interviewed me at my house 5 years ago, you know exactly where I live! ”
As the audience laughed and cheered, the “Wrecking Ball” singer thanked Cooper, 31, who hosted the premiere and was “so dedicated to ‘Hannah Montana.'”
Page Six has reached out to Cooper’s representatives for comment.
Cyrus previously opened up about the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special and how Cooper helped plan it in a conversation with Variety on March 18th.
“She understands Hannah in a way that I didn’t understand,” she told the outlet. “I never experienced Hannah being crazy in the pit with the other kids.”
Cooper helped plan the set and music, and also arranged a cameo appearance by Selena Gomez.
“I love Selena, but I had no idea how much our friendship meant to our fans,” Cyrus said.
As for the “Party in the USA” hitmaker’s decision to begin the special by driving from his home in Malibu to a Hollywood soundstage, that was Cooper’s idea, too.
“I didn’t think about the correlation between Hannah’s house in Malibu and my house in Malibu and my house burning down and me rebuilding,” she told Variety.
Cyrus and Disney+ officially announced the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” on February 17th.
Hannah Montana alums Emily Osment and Mitchell Musso were unable to appear on the special, but they took to social media on the night of the premiere to gush about their time on the hit Disney Channel show.
The Something Beautiful artist, who has been engaged to drummer Max Morando since December 2025, used the premiere to reveal her secret romance with Dylan Sprouse at the time.
