Taylor Frankie Paul reportedly lost temporary custody of her son Ever, whom she shares with ex Dakota Mortensen, after Mortensen filed for a protective order against her on Thursday.
Mortensen was granted “temporary custody” of the couple’s son on Friday under the terms of a restraining order, People reported.
A court hearing in which Paul will be allowed to speak is scheduled for April 7, but until then, “parental time will not be granted,” the order said.
Paul’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The ruling came as Draper police investigated an alleged domestic altercation between her and Mortensen.
DCPD confirmed to People on Monday that “the allegations went both ways” and that “contact was made with the parties on (February) 24th and 25th.”
Production on the new season of “Mormon Wives” has been halted following the investigation.
Mortensen filed for a protective order against his ex-boyfriend on Thursday, accusing him of interfering with footage of a domestic incident in 2023 when he and Paul were released.
The video shows the “Mormon Wives” star having sex with Mortensen, choking him and throwing several bar stools at him, while his 8-year-old daughter Indy was sitting in the room.
At one point, Indy could be heard crying in the background after being “hit in the head with a metal chair,” as Mortensen claimed in the clip.
After the 2023 altercation, Paul was arrested and charged with three felonies: one count of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child. She was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief.
Paul pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault, and the lesser charge was dropped.
Following the video’s release in 2023, Paul’s publicist accused the “selectively edited” clip of being part of Mortensen’s “endless, desperate, attention-seeking and destructive campaign to harm Taylor without considering the impact on the child.”
“(This act) on my son’s (Ever’s) birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own actions,” the spokesperson added, referring to his two-year-old son.
“Thankfully, the public has seen this behavior before and knows who he is. And sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both from his actions on the show and from their own experiences.”
Mortensen denied Paul’s allegations against him in a statement to Page Six on Thursday night.
“As anyone who has seen the video can attest, this is an extremely upsetting situation,” he told Page Six in a statement Thursday.
“Unfortunately, I am no stranger to unsubstantiated claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focused on my son and his safety, and I hope you will do the same for Taylor.”
Paul was scheduled to star in Season 22 of The Bachelorette, which was scheduled to begin airing on Sunday. However, those plans quickly changed as ABC decided on Thursday not to air it in light of recent developments.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as her priority is the safety and security of her family,” a spokesperson for the reality TV star told Page Six after the network’s decision was announced.
“After enduring years of extensive emotional and physical abuse and threats of retribution in silence, Taylor has finally found the strength to confront her accusers and is taking steps to ensure she and her children are protected from further harm.”
“Too many women suffer in silence while surviving ex-partners who are aggressive, jealous and refuse to move on with their lives,” the agent said.
