Taylor Frankie Paul throws multiple chairs at Dakota Mortensen in a disturbing video released Thursday.
Footage of the 2023 altercation obtained by TMZ begins with the “Mormon Wives” star attempting to put her in a headlock, claiming her then-partner’s behavior was “physically abusive” and “hurt” her partner.
After backing away, the “Bachelorette” star tried to kick Mortensen and then threw a metal bar stool across the room at Mortensen.
Mortensen repeatedly yelled that Paul’s daughter, 8-year-old Indi, who was 5 at the time, was there as she backed away toward the couch, where the young child was curled up.
Mortensen then heard the sound of a child crying, as if she had been hit, and Mortensen later claimed, “Your daughter just got hit in the head with a metal chair.”
The argument between Mortensen and Paul escalates as Indy continues to cry, with Paul repeatedly shouting, “You did it. You threw me.”
Specifically, Paul later claimed to police that Mortensen threw her to the ground before he began filming her with his cell phone.
During the scuffle, Mortensen urges Paul to “go save his daughter,” and when Paul tries to do so, she yells at Indy to “get away.”
The doorbell rang as police arrived at the scene after Mortensen professed her “love” for Paul’s children and accused her of being “drunk.”
Mortensen told officials that Paul had been “beaten” and that he was “calm,” to which Paul responded, “Are you going to throw something at me when I’m so calm?”
On Thursday, Paul’s spokesperson slammed the release of the “selectively edited” video that was “conveniently taken out of context,” calling it part of Mortensen’s “endless, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor with no regard for the impact on the child.”
A rep claimed, “Doing[this act]on his son’s (Ever) birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own actions. Thankfully, the public has witnessed this act before and knows who he is. And sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both from his actions on the show and from their own experiences.”
Paul was arrested in the 2023 incident and charged with three felonies, one count of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, and one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief.
The content creator pleaded guilty to aggravated assault under a plea agreement that reduced the charge to a misdemeanor if he served a three-year suspended sentence.
Although the other charges were dismissed, Paul reminded “Call Her Daddy” listeners of it in September 2025 while promoting the upcoming “Bachelorette” season.
However, just days before the show’s release, news broke that filming for Season 5 of SLOMW had been halted due to a domestic violence investigation into the incident between Paul and Mortensen in February.
Law enforcement says the allegations go “both ways.”
Paul continues to press tour for The Bachelorette through a “difficult” period, with ABC insisting the series will premiere on Sunday as planned.
As for what’s next on “SLOMW,” Paul said on “Good Morning America” Wednesday that it’s “hard to say” what will happen.
Her on-and-off romance with Mortensen began in 2022 following her divorce from ex-husband Tate Paul, with whom she shares two sons, Indy and five-year-old Ocean.
Taylor gave birth to her son Ever with Mortensen in March 2024, and the Hulu personality made headlines in May of the following year when she announced that her show would be canceled.
