Zendaya appeared on the March 16 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! During the appearance, she mentioned the fake AI photo of her and Tom Holland’s wedding that went viral on the internet. Zendaya revealed that many people were “fooled” by the image and that she had to tell those who celebrated her wedding that the image was not real.
Although Zendaya has neither confirmed nor denied that she and her fiancé Tom Holland are officially married, Zendaya has revealed that she has seen fake AI photos of her and Holland getting married circulating online and that people are being fooled by the images.
Fresh off her surprise appearance at the Oscars, she appeared on the March 16 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” She was then asked about the media frenzy surrounding her and Holland’s relationship status. “I’m sure you know the internet is abuzz with the idea that you might actually be married to Tom,” Kimmel said.
“Really? I’ve never seen anything like that,” the drama actress replied with a laugh, as the audience applauded her. Kimmel then moved on to the fake AI wedding photo of Zendaya and Holland, and Kimmel revealed that people were legitimately fooled by the image.
“A lot of people have been fooled by them. While I was just going out in real life, people were saying, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Baby, they’re AI,'” she said.
The photo, shared by digital artist Juan Regueira Rodriguez, showed Zendaya in a hyper-realistic bridal outfit and Holland in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie. The couple was pictured exchanging vows and posing together against a picturesque backdrop of mountains and lakes.
Although the artist admitted in the caption that “the image was created by AI” and “is not a real photo,” the post still went viral, garnering over 11 million likes. It was later deleted by Regueira Rodriguez.
