A Quiet Place director John Krasinski has announced that Jack O’Connell (Sinners), Jason Clarke (House of Dynamite) and Katie O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding) will join returning cast members Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe in his new horror trilogy.
“So proud to be part of this Quiet Place family, old and new!” Krasinski captioned a social media post that featured a copy of the script with each actor’s name printed on it. “Let’s go!” Krasinski set his Instagram post to the song “One Last Time” from “Hamilton,” hinting that it would be the final chapter in the story of a family navigating a world overrun by an invasion of blind aliens with deadly acute hearing.
Paramount plans to release “A Quiet Place: Part III” in theaters on July 30, 2027. Production will begin this spring in New York, with Krasinski set to direct from his own script. He also serves as a producer alongside Allison Seager on Sunday Night, which has a first-look deal with the studio. Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form serve as producers for Platinum Dunes.
Krasinski directed the first two films in the A Quiet Place series, co-starring Blunt, Simmons, and Jupe in the first film. Murphy and Djimon Hounsou have joined the cast for Part 2. Michael Sarnosky directed the 2024 prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn. These three films grossed a combined $900 million.
O’Connell’s participation in the series continues his string of hits in the horror genre, following two “28 Years Later” films, including “Sinners,” which won four Oscars on Sunday night, and Nia DaCosta’s “The Bone Temple,” which was released in January.
Clark most recently appeared in Kathryn Bigelow’s House of Dynamite, marking their first reunion since 2012’s Zero Dark Thirty. He also played Alex Murdaugh in Hulu’s true crime series Murdaugh: Death in the Family.
O’Brian is best known for co-starring with Kristen Stewart in Love Lies Bleeding. Since then, she has had standout supporting roles in big-budget films such as ‘Twisters,’ ‘Mission: Impossible: The Last Judgment,’ and ‘The Running Man.’
