Four more cast members have been added to Netflix’s highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed series.
Noomi Rapace (Lamb, Prometheus), Ramsey Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Haunted Mind), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible, The Stranger) and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial, Ford v. Ferrari) are joining the show in undisclosed recurring roles.
Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed, based on the popular video game of the same name, is an “intense thriller centered on a secret war between two shadowy factions, one seeking to determine humanity’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will,” according to the official logline. “The series follows the characters as they navigate significant historical events and fight to shape the destiny of humanity.”
Previously announced cast members include Toby Wallace, Laura Petticrew, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, Tanzine Crawford, and more. Exact character details are being kept secret.
The Assassin’s Creed series will be executive produced by Robert Patino (DMZ, Westworld), who also serves as showrunner, and David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming). Other executive producers include Gerald Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones and Matt O’Toole of Ubisoft Film & Television.
The video game has sold over 230 million copies worldwide since its release in 2007, making it one of the best-selling titles in history. The 14-part series explores the war between the rival secret orders of the Assassins and the Templars. They use advanced machines to access the Assassins’ genetic memories from different times in the past and track down a powerful artifact called the Piece of Eden.
