Zendaya returned to the Academy Awards tonight as a surprise presenter alongside her co-star Robert Pattinson. The pair were presented with the award for Best Director, and Zendaya chose a minimalist, one-shoulder brown dress by Louis Vuitton. She accessorized with Cindy Chao The Art Jewel diamond branch earrings and ring and a Rolex watch.
Zendaya doesn’t have any Oscar-eligible projects this year, but next year’s awards season could be a different story with her buzzy releases.
She and her partner Tom Holland were spotted out and about at various locations earlier this week. Zendaya attended the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week show on March 10, and Holland was photographed out and about in Miami on March 11.
But both were in the area during Oscar weekend. Zendaya hosted an event in Las Vegas that Saturday, and Holland attended the WME pre-Oscar party the same evening.
Zendaya has begun a press tour for the drama, which will be released on April 3rd. Zendaya spoke in an interview about how she finds the right balance between sharing publicly about her life and keeping it private.
She told co-star Pattinson, “What I admire about you is that you keep so much of your life to yourself, which is beautiful, especially having a family[with partner Suki Waterhouse]. I’m learning how to balance those things. At the end of the day, you’re a public figure. There’s nothing you can do, but some things are for yourself and your loved ones, and then you play someone else. ‘And they won’t necessarily accept you — I mean, we just talked about being eloquent and I’m stumbling over words trying to explain what I’m trying to say, but I try to be true to who I am not only to the characters (because the audience sees me as them and not myself) but also in real life, but I also try for myself. ”
