A sexy new cast is about to join the villa as Peacock has renewed Love Island USA for season eight. Ariana Madix will return as host of the popular dating show, which will premiere on June 2nd at 6pm PT/9pm ET.
News of the renewal comes on the heels of the seventh season of Love Island USA, which garnered more than 18.4 billion minutes of streaming on Peacock during its six-week run. It also held the number one spot as the number one streaming original title in the US for six consecutive weeks. Variety previously reported that season 7 of the reality show was the most-watched season of streaming original TV, with annual viewership up 150%.
“Love Island USA” premiered in 2019 following the success of the British “Love Island” series. Season 2 of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which was renewed in November, has also been given a release date of April 15th. The show, featuring fan-favorite Islanders from Season 7, will premiere in two episodes, followed by two new episodes streaming every Wednesday at 6pm PT/9pm ET.
Love Island USA’s executive producers include David George, Adam Sher, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Jordana Hochman, Bernie Schaefer, James Barker, Blake Garrett, Courtney Rosenthal, Sophie Brown, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Tom Gould, Ali Hill and Martin Oxley. Produced by ITV America, the series is based on formats owned by WPP media companies Lifted Entertainment and Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios.
