Hearst Media Production Group will premiere its new original home renovation series Home for Good starting Saturday, April 4, as part of ABC’s Weekend Adventures slot.
The series, also brought to you by home fire safety brand Kidde and Epic Entertainment and Media Group, focuses on supporting “everyday heroes,” from first responders and veterans to community advocates.
The weekly half-hour series is hosted by Art Edmonds. Home for Good focuses on providing “life-changing home transformations to deserving recipients who have overcome extraordinary hardships,” while also providing home safety and DIY guidelines.
Edmonds’ credits include Lifetime’s “Military Makeover with Montel,” in which he and Montel Williams gave home makeovers to wounded U.S. veterans. Edmonds also narrated Discovery+’s “Caught!,” Discovery Science’s “Built by Hand,” and Nat Geo Wild’s “Dr K Exotic Animal ER.”
“This series is our way of saying thank you to our everyday heroes,” Brian Curb, HMPG executive vice president and general manager of education and information, said in a statement. “These inspiring stories will resonate deeply with viewers as they highlight the impact and purpose of serving others.”
