The first episode of “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” has reached approximately 13 million viewers to date.
The pilot for the new Tracy Morgan-led sitcom premiered on NBC on January 18 and initially drew 5.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched comedy television broadcast of the 2025-2026 broadcast season. The premiere benefited from an NFL lead-in and aired immediately after NBC’s coverage of the Los Angeles Rams vs. Chicago Bears playoff game. But interest in the show clearly goes beyond that. The new total, which takes into account delayed viewing on Peacock and other digital platforms in the 50 days following its premiere, represents an increase of more than 100% compared to the original audience.
Growth doesn’t stop there. The second episode of “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” “Nittany Means Big,” is the most-watched comedy episode of Peacock’s 2025-2026 season so far, although exact viewer numbers are unknown.
According to the official description, “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” stars Morgan as “a disgraced former football star on a mission to restore his image with the help of award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe),” and goes on to say, “To regain the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family, Reggie must also confront the ghosts of his past.” In addition to Morgan and Radcliffe, the cast includes Erica Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.
Robert Carlock and Sam Means will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers along with Tina Fey, Morgan, Eric Gurian, and David Miner. This series is produced by Universal Television.
